Change Associate

Role Overview

As a Change Associate in our Change Management practice, you will support clients in successfully implementing organizational strategies, processes, technologies, and ways of working. This role blends management consulting with change management, allowing you to contribute to problem analysis, project delivery, and employee adoption of change initiatives. You will own discrete workstreams end-to-end, from initial research and analysis through to polished, client-ready deliverables, working with senior consultants to set context and then executing with minimal direction.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting research and gathering data about the client organization to support problem analysis and solution development.
  • Analyzing business processes, organizational structures, and performance metrics to identify issues related to implementing change.
  • Supporting the development of recommendations, improvement plans, and actionable solutions for clients.
  • Assessing how changes affect different teams and roles, mapping stakeholders, and analyzing potential risks or resistance.
  • Assisting with internal messaging strategies and developing communication materials, including presentations and updates, to support employee understanding and adoption of change.
  • Participating actively in client-facing workshops and calls in support of the Change Facilitator, contributing to facilitation, capturing key outputs, and managing follow-through.
  • Preparing training materials, user guides, and other resources that help employees adopt new tools, processes, or ways of working.
  • Leading or co-leading training sessions and change enablement activities, taking ownership of preparation and delivery.
  • Tracking project milestones and deliverables, maintaining project documentation, and preparing client-ready reports and presentations.
  • Supporting project planning, coordination, and overall project management activities.
  • Collecting feedback from employees and stakeholders, tracking adoption metrics or performance indicators, and identifying areas where additional support is needed.

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivering high-quality, well-structured analysis and client materials aligned with firm standards.
  • Supporting smooth execution of change management initiatives across multiple client projects.
  • Demonstrating reliable and consistent performance in research, reporting, and communication tasks.
  • Building effective working relationships with internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying risks, gaps, or improvement opportunities and escalating appropriately.
  • Taking increasing ownership of project tasks and small workstreams as familiarity with projects grows.
  • Earning trust quickly from both the internal team and client stakeholders as someone who follows through, thinks ahead, and can be left to run with a workstream.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in consulting, business analysis, organizational development, or related fields, with demonstrated ability to work independently on client-facing deliverables.
  • A self-starter who identifies what needs to happen next and moves on it. You don’t wait to be told, and you need minimal coaching once context is set.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze business processes, interpret data, and develop actionable insights.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create presentations and explain complex ideas simply.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and client stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and basic stakeholder management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including attention to detail, task management, and accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, comfortable context-switching across clients, reprioritizing quickly, and maintaining quality under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn new consulting frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Interest in change management and understanding how organizational changes affect people, processes, and performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with change management frameworks such as ADKAR or Prosci.
