Job Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Implement an outcome management system that ensures every employee has clear documented outcomes, and that onboarding, prioritization, and performance management processes clearly anchor to those outcomes
- Build and maintain resource management systems so resource mismatches and idle time are caught within days, with clear ownership and resolution plans for every issue
- Strengthen how PACE plans, tracks, and reports work in our existing toolkit, so leadership has real visibility into project planning and execution, organizational risks, blockers, and progress against outcomes.
- Install systems that ensure every new resource has a named outcome owner, clear outcomes, and a real accountability rhythm before their first day
- Work through every current resourcing gap, and get each one a named owner and a resolution plan
- Make onboarding and resourcing execution function as a repeatable, predictable system
- Build processes that hold up on their own: documented, teachable, and not dependent on any one person to keep working
- Leave behind clean documentation, so incoming personnel inherit a working system
Skills and Qualifications
What Success Looks Like
- Idle or mismatched resources are identified and addressed within one week
- Leadership can trust the planning and actuals data enough to make resourcing decisions from it
- New team members start with real clarity on ownership and expectations from day one
- Every current resource gap has a named owner and a resolution plan within two weeks
- Processes run cleanly on their own for several cycles in a row
- Handoff to the permanent hire doesn’t require rebuilding anything
What We’re Looking For
- Lean Six Sigma, preferably Black Belt, with substantial real-world deployment experience. You’ve used tools such as root cause analysis, standard work, and waste elimination to strengthen live operations under pressure, not just in training.
- A track record of building this kind of operating system inside more than one professional-services or consulting environment
- Comfort building fast in ambiguity, without waiting for a fully scoped mandate or complete documentation
- A bias toward building things that outlast you; systems designed to transfer cleanly, not to make yourself indispensable
- Sharp resource judgment; reads engagement demand in real time and catches mismatches before they become idle time or burnout
The successful person will be curious about the operating patterns behind resourcing problems; clear about ownership, outcomes, and next actions; candid about gaps and performance concerns; and committed to carrying improvements through implementation, repetition, documentation, and handoff.
They must be able to hold a boundary and give clear direction to senior, tenured consultants, without deferring to seniority or creating unnecessary friction.
They will be proactive, adaptable, comfortable with courageous communication, empathetic in how they create accountability, and resourceful in resolving issues while escalating only the decisions that genuinely require senior leadership.
