Problem Statement

The current tooling, inserts, holding capability and programs on the CNC’s do not reflect a cutting edge in the marketplace for the newly acquired products from manufacturing plant.

Goal

Reduction of machining process cycle-time by 25% in a 6-month period ending in October 2016.

Result

By using Lean Productivity tools, Ed was able to improve in cycle time by 51% and save a totally of $243,600 annually.
